Practical Project Report Writing

Every donor (development partner) funded to the program/project and NGOs, top leader/manager of the government’s institution, investor, entrepreneur, and company owner want to see that their fund and resource invested for the project/program is used in an effective and efficient way leading to achieving the agreed results. From observations, some projects, programs, NGOs, public institutions, enterprises, and companies work productively and successfully achieve their results and targets as agreed with their donor/funder, top leader/manager and boss. However, reporting/presenting on those achieved results is sometimes not accepted due to the poor quality of the report.

The main questions for many reporters are:

(i). how can a quality report be produced, and easily accepted by their donor, top leader, manager, and boss? (ii). how can results and challenges of the implementation, recommendation … and further/next steps be presented in a comprehensive and understandable manner.....etc.? Thus, writing reports is not an easy task. The responsible person needs to be skillful, professional and having all relevant competences.  That is why writing reports becomes one of the most important skills in the program/project management, esp. for those in charge of reporting results of the implementation.
